Digital preservation and continuity

Stable public records, verified files, backups and preservation-ready formats.

01

Platform continuity

Public article pages use canonical URLs, DOI links, XML sitemaps and OAI-PMH metadata. Historical OJS URLs are redirected to their corresponding ERSS records.

02

Version-of-record files

Migrated PDFs are verified by filename, file size, page count and SHA-256 checksum. The platform stores source URLs and import status in a dedicated provenance record.

03

Operational backups

The production architecture supports encrypted, versioned backups of the database and private file storage, off-site retention and scheduled restore drills. Backup configuration must be completed and tested by the publisher before launch.

04

Long-term preservation

The platform exports JATS XML, Dublin Core and OAI-PMH records to support repository deposit and future preservation arrangements. Participation in a dedicated preservation network must be verified before any public preservation badge is displayed.
